On October 27, 2024, Jiang Cheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Yantai Municipal Party Committee, led an observation group to visit CHAM New Energy's northern base. The chairman of CHAM New Energy received and accompanied the group and made a detailed introduction of the base.

During the inspection, the chairman explained in detail to Secretary Jiang the positioning of the base, the application of major technologies and the future development plan. CHAM New Energy's northern base, positioned as a robotics and maritime energy technology base, specializes in major technologies such as high-energy density power cells, maritime batteries, and energy solutions, covering a wide range of surface and underwater application scenarios. In addition, CHAM New Energy also showed the observation group its 18-series, 21-series, 32-series and 46-series batteries, application products in the field of green travel and smart home, as well as leading products such as special mobile energy storage solutions and military patrol dogs. Secretary Jiang fully affirmed the achievements by the corporation and offered valuable advice on ways to further promote technological innovation and market expansion.

Subsequently, Secretary Jiang and his group went right to the construction site for an on-the-spot investigation of the base construction, and provided important instructions for the base development. He emphasized that the corporation should attach importance to work safety and environmental protection and strive to achieve sustainable development while further strengthening technological innovation and continuously improving product quality and performance. He also said that the government will continue to support the development of the corporation and provide it with better services and security.

CHAM New Energy's northern base

CHAM New Energy's northern base, which is a major project of Shandong Province introduced to Fushan District and is positioned as a robotics and maritime energy technology base, specializes in major technologies such as high-energy density power cells, maritime batteries, and energy solutions, covering a wide range of surface and underwater application scenarios. Phase I of the base, covering an area of 260 mu, aims to build a digital intelligent lighthouse demonstration factory for new energy lithium batteries with complete production processes.

At present, the construction of Phase I is progressing smoothly. Specifically, the PACK workshop has been completed; the main construction of four workshops, including Formation, has been completed; and the main structure and foundation construction of the cell workshop and the research office building are in progress, and are scheduled to be completed and put into production in the first half of next year. After all the facilities are put into operation, the project can reach the annual capacity of 14GWh cells and 6GWh energy storage PACKs, which will effectively drive the accelerated rise of the new energy equipment manufacturing industry in the province.
